RBC Royal Bank, Quality Foods, Crown Isle, 97.3 Eagle FM, local businesses, hospital staff and members of the community have been playing golf for St. Joseph’s Hospital for 21 years. Over $390,000 has been raised over the years to help provide support and enhance equipment in various departments at St. Joseph’s General Hospital.
This years charity golf event raised over $28,000 and supported the purchase of Motorized Parallel bars and specialized wheelchairs for St. Joseph’s. Parallels bars offer good support to patients and they are a crucial piece of equipment used by Rehab therapists to the help patients build their general strength, balance. They are also used to help patients that have had a major surgery, trauma, or illness. The wheelchairs will help support the various levels of care needed for patients that are required to be in wheelchairs and/or have various needs of rehabilitation.
Pictured in the photo above are the major sponsors of the event and staff from the Rehab services department and St. Joseph’s General Hospital Foundation.
