With the opening of the new Comox Valley Hospital in the fall of 2017, and St. Joseph’s continuing to provide care with compassion to residents of The Views and Hospice after services move to the new hospital, we will continue to fundraise for our community’s healthcare needs with your continued support.
Will the Foundation have an office at St. Joseph’s site in the future?
YES. The Foundation will still have an office at the St. Joseph’s site, and will also have an office at the new Comox Valley Hospital. the Tree of Life will continue to ‘grow’ at St. Joseph’s, while a new cumulative donor recognition wall will represent our loyal donors at the new hospital.
Can I continue to donate to St. Joseph’s after the new hospital opens?
YES. When you donate to Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation, ou can designate your donation or will and estate gifts to Residential Care or Hospice at St. Joseph’s, as well as the new Comox Valley Hospital. Just like we did under the name St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, we will continue to honour the areas of care that mean the most to our donors, now and in the future at St. Joseph’s and the new Comox Valley Hospital.
Why did St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation change its name?
St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation changed its name to Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation this past June to reflect the diversity of healthcare facilities it will now support in the community, including the Take Heart Breathe Well cardio-pulmonary wellness program out of the Comox Community Centre.
As we have done since 1993, our Foundation will continue to fund the Comox Valley’s healthcare needs where government funding stops, and we will strive to provide the best healthcare possible for you and your loved ones through private donations, grants, events, corporate support and will and estate gifts. We appreciate your ongoing support as we continue to meet the growing healthcare needs in our community.
