Today and Tomorrow
In June 2016, the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation changed its name to Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation. This was done to represent the expanding support that the Foundation will provide in the Comox Valley through the new Comox Valley Hospital as well as St. Joseph’s as it continues to operate and expand in the areas of Residential and Hospice Care.
As health care grows in the Comox Valley, so will the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation. While the Foundation experiences its own growth, it will not change its commitment or dedication to provide the community with top-of-the-line health care, whether that’s through raising funds for new equipment and technology, building upgrades, patient comfort or staff education. Caring for our community has always been at the core of our Foundation.
For many years, the Foundation has received generous donations for many specific purposes, such as cancer care, cardiac care, residential care and others critical to our health care. Those funds will continue to be held and spent as intended by the donor when needed for those purposes here in the Comox Valley.
The generous donations and support we receive from individuals, service groups and businesses are invaluable to us and to the thousands of people who access health care each year. Every dollar donated to our health care system improves a life in some way, and when one life is enhanced, so is the community.
Thank you very much for your continuing support during our exciting transition.
