The warm embrace of a cozy blanket is sure to brighten anyone’s day. Meet Donor Judi Pedder, a local artist and ongoing supporter of the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation. For many years, Judi was a volunteer for Project Linus – a non-profit organization with a mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or in need of comfort through the gift of a new, handmade blanket. Although this program no longer operates in the Comox Valley, Judi has continued their tradition. She recently dropped off 17 beautiful, hand knit blankets made with love, to the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation.
These blankets are on their way to the Maternal Child Care & Pediatrics department of the Comox Valley Hospital where they will be given to children and infants to keep, and to brighten their day. Thank you, Judi for your continuous compassion and support. These blankets will bring joy to so many people.
