We are very excited to once again bring some holiday cheer to folks living in non-profit long-term care homes, vulnerable seniors transitioning to long-term care, and to elderly patients on the 4th floor of the hospital.

Stockings for Seniors is an initiative led by Baker & Associates Private Wealth Management and IG Wealth Management – Greater Vancouver Island in partnership with the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation. Thanks to some of their caring clients, our local Dollarama and Thrifty Foods stores, Soap For Hope Canada, and generous Foundation donors many wish list items have already been ticked off the list but a few remain and we would like your help to continue this showing of love and support.

The goal is to fill stockings for 106 seniors who don’t have family nearby during the holidays. The following items are still needed: non-slip socks and slippers, large-print word search books, playing cards, mini 2024 calendars, small notebooks, baseball hats, mini plush stuffed animals (6-inch max), travel-size Kleenex, and pre-sharpened pencils.

Items can be dropped off at the IG Wealth Management office (22 – 1599 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay) Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm until the end of the day on Friday, December 8th.
