We recently had the pleasure of meeting with K’ómoks First Nation Elder, Ramona Johnson, and a local business manager, Jon Preece, to say thank you for their efforts in collecting 200 brand new stuffies for the Comox Valley Hospital. Stuffed animals are used in the ER and in several departments in the hospital to help comfort children that need medical care. They are wonderful for distracting, calming, or cheering up a child.
Upon learning that the Foundation was in short supply, Ramona rallied her community to get behind the plush toy drive and did they ever! We are so grateful for everyone’s contributions.
