Hope Afloat Fundraise In Support of Palliative Care

The sun was shining on these lovely members of the Hope Afloat Canada Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team last week as they presented a cheque to Rhonda Stevens from the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation. We were thrilled to have Victor Wakarchuk, Palliative Care Social Worker, connect with the team to acknowledge their tremendous fundraising efforts and to learn how much it means to palliative care staff to have community support (far right in photograph).

Funds raised came from Hope Afloat’s very successful bottle drive held in October and adds to their nearly two decades of giving in support of Cancer Care and Palliative Care in the Comox Valley.

Our gratitude to the whole team and to Peg, Carole, Barb, Nazzie the dog, Susan, and Kelly for joining us at the Comox Marina last week (left to right in photograph).
